On September 18, 2026 the FAPS Engineering Day 2026 takes place in Erlangen, hosted by the FAPS institute. From 13:00 to 18:00 the day revolves around one question: how intelligent, physically acting systems come about, and what that means for engineering.
Our CTO Markus Herhoffer takes part in two formats, once in a talk and once on the panel.
Talk: Agentic Twins for Manufacturing in NVIDIA Omniverse
At 14:30 Markus Herhoffer shows the possibilities that arise from connecting agentic AI and digital twins for industrial manufacturing. At the center is the Agentic Twin in NVIDIA Omniverse: a contextual representation of manufacturing on which agents can assess relationships and derive measures.
Panel: engineering for embodied AI
At 16:30 he joins the panel discussion “Engineering für Embodied AI” on the requirements that intelligent, physically acting systems place on engineering, and on where the real challenges lie, from the data foundation through to validation in operation.
