Open standards as the foundation for connected, scalable 3D worlds

Open standards are the key to future proof, interoperable 3D ecosystems. That makes us all the happier to now be an official member of the Alliance for OpenUSD (AOUSD), a global initiative dedicated to advancing the next generation of digital interoperability.
With this membership we strengthen our commitment to open, connected technologies and extend our expertise along three central topics:
1. Interoperability in 3D content and digital twin environments
Together with partners such as NVIDIA, Pixar, Adobe and Autodesk, the AOUSD is driving the further development of the open standard OpenUSD. This standard creates the foundation for seamless collaboration between different 3D applications and platforms, from content creation through to industrial simulation.
2. Digital sovereignty and open ecosystems
As an active member we help shape how data, tools and platforms in the 3D and Digital Thread context will be structured and openly connected in future. In doing so we contribute to digital sovereignty and support the development of transparent, scalable ecosystems in which interoperability and security are equally assured.
3. Domain specific LLM (DSLLM) and data integration
By combining our expertise in industry specific AI models (DSLLM), the integration of data into the NVIDIA Omniverse and the use of open standards, we create robust foundations for developing forward-looking digital twins and complex simulations. This opens up new ways to map and optimize real processes precisely in virtual environments.
Conclusion: open standards as an engine of innovation
We are convinced that lasting technical advantage only emerges from combining open standards, specialized AI and solid data integration. Our membership in the AOUSD underlines this commitment and at the same time strengthens our role as a driving force in digital twin, physical AI and 3D interoperability.
