Product Owner for the Agentic Twin Platform explore (m/f/d)

We are EXP Software GmbH: a team of around 25 software developers with heart, humor and a passion for technology. We build explore, an Agentic Twin Platform that helps companies map and automate complex processes with autonomous AI agents.

Our product is growing, and so are the demands on someone who keeps the overview: between what customers need, what leadership plans and what the development team can realistically build. That is exactly the bridge you build. We are not looking for a process administrator who pushes tickets. We are looking for someone who truly understands explore, is genuinely excited about the product and makes sure, with clarity and consistency, that the right things get built in the right order.

Your responsibilities

Product vision & roadmap

You create and own the product backlog for explore: maintenance, prioritization and continuous refinement in close coordination with leadership, customers and the development team.
You translate business goals and customer requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, precise enough for the team and understandable enough for everyone else.
You set clear priorities and explain them: what do we build next, and why?
You develop a mid term product roadmap together with leadership and keep it alive.
You develop a deep understanding of the explore platform: agent logic, automation concepts, possibilities and limits, and you bring impulses from the AI market directly into the product.

Team & knowledge sharing

You hold regular conversations with existing customers, understand their work processes and recognize which requirements truly matter and which are just loud.
You translate customer feedback, support insights and market observations into concrete product decisions.
You are the central point of contact for incoming requirements and make sure nothing gets lost, everything gets assessed and decisions stay traceable.
You naturally use AI tools in your own work: for research, documentation, analysis, prioritization and automation.

Collaboration & steering

You work closely with our developers every day: in sprint plannings, refinements and reviews; you are there and contribute substantively.
You answer the team's questions quickly and reliably, sign off results and make sure they meet the defined acceptance criteria.
You understand technical context well enough to make sensible trade offs between effort and value.
You plan demos for customers and stakeholders and run them yourself, directly in the product.

Your profile

You have several years of experience as a product owner or in a comparable role in a software or tech environment and know how agile product development works in practice.
A product owner certification is a plus but not a must.
You have a solid understanding of software development and AI concepts. A computer science degree or training as a Fachinformatiker is a plus but not required. What matters is that you can communicate with the development team at eye level.
You understand how LLMs, agents and automation systems work; not necessarily at the code level, but conceptually well enough to base product decisions on it.
You can listen well, summarize precisely and phrase requirements so the team can implement them directly.
You work in a structured way, prioritize clearly and do not lose the overview even with many parallel topics.
You communicate confidently at every level: with customers, developers and leadership alike, and you use the right tone for each.
Very good German skills are required; English is a given in a technical context.
We would like someone who is mainly on site with us: at least 3 of 5 days in our office in Pfaffenhofen. Remote days are of course possible and part of how we work.
